I made it!!!

I made it to Seattle finally after many days of trying! I drove through the Siskiyou mountains (border of CA/Oregon) and the chain restriction was lifted the morning I drove up! I definitely know that the Lord was looking out for me because I could not put chains on if I tried!!!
I drove through all of the passes of Oregon no problem until I reached the city of Portland which took me four hours to pass through because of the severe snow! I was able to stop and see my aunt and stay with friends Leisha and Jason in Vancouver, WA. Once I made it through the Portland area I made it to Seattle to have a white Christmas (the first I can remember since I was a kid)!
Thanks for your many prayers! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Still trying to leave...

Well, it seems weather has delayed my trip a little bit! I am still in Sacramento and hoping to leave tonight to start driving towards Redding. I am waiting to find out if my mom can make it down here...her flight was cancelled yesterday and she has been at SEA-TAC all day trying to make it here to drive with me. Please pray that she makes the flight tonight so we can leave and make it to Seattle by Christmas!

Getting ready...only 6 weeks to go!

Well, things are really getting closer now. My ticket was now bought and I am officially leaving on Thursday, January 8th from LAX to San Jose, Costa Rica to live until June 16th, 2009 (YWAM). For more info on my base at YWAM, go to www.ywamsj.org. It has been hitting me now more because I am moving out of my apartment in two weeks to live with a friend to save some money before I go.

Now more than anything I am feeling stressed. I had to get a root canal and other dental work at the last minute which has put me back a lot of money that was not expected. I know that God has called me to go, so I am keeping on the path that He has called me. As usual, the Lord provides at the last minute, but I hate waiting!

I would love your prayers at this time for financial provision. I still need $1,900 to go towards my trip. Please also pray that God would prepare me for this trip. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! One thing that I have been learning is from 1 Thessalonians 5: 18 which says "In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." Through all of the struggles I have been going through, I have learned that we give thanks, no matter what comes our way. We don't give thanks for everything, but we give thanks IN everything. God is still good no matter what happens!

God bless all of you!
